Charming from TIKI wines

TIKI Single Vineyard Wairau Alpine Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2010 - When it comes to reviewing wines it opens up a whole new world. Especially given that you seem to need to use words like "penetrating, undercurrent" and "classy note" - I wasn't sure if I was up to the task.

Until I realised that I can write in My Speak. In fact, I'm probably more qualified than the "Experts" given the quantity of wine that's passed my lips over the years. And given the occasional restricted budget - believe me, I've sampled from every spectrum of the scale.

Just looking at the beautiful design of the labels you know that TIKI are proud and insist on perfection. And as I like a lot of flavour in my Sauv, having the grapes from Wairau Alpine Valley ensures intensity in flavour. We enjoyed our bottle with fresh scallops - I know, its sounds pretty swanky, but my husband had just been to the Barrier where the seafood seems to grow like weeds.

I have to say the fresh, flavour-filled Sauv with the scallops was out of this world. And it'd be amazing with any great, fresh seafood.
