Our first few days have gone well. We are living in paradise! Its been great to hit the ground running with time spent descending some of the local runs. May brings stable (ish) flows and weather and so most days are clear and warm. The kayaking is world class. Many creeks flow in this area as well as the Urrubamba itself which on both of our descents felt like a charging big volume Himalayan beast. Some of the moves had me thinking we had returned to the Parlung Tsangpo in Tibet! Ive been scared lots.. Each day we continue to plan the next move... will it be the Paucartambo? We certainly hope so!
