PALATE Essence of pear and quince reward the taste buds that are further tantalized by the wonderful weight and structure of this wine. Full flavoured and rich, the palate delivers a fantastic combination of ripe fruit flavours with a delightfully balanced acidity and hint of residual sweetness that enhances the length.
VINEYARD REGION 100% of the fruit for this wine was sourced from our Rewa Vineyard in the Upper Wairau Valley in Marlborough.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS Leading up to the 2011 vintage in Marlborough, the weather conditions were ideal for optimising the attributes of our vineyard. The large diurnal fluctua- tion in temperatures experienced by the Tiki Vineyards provided the ideal conditions for creating intense flavours while retaining fine acidity and elegance in the wines. Pinot Gris is a variety that needs full ripeness to develop intensity of flavour and the terroir of our vineyard provides the optimum conditions to achieve this.
