On the eve of Aotearoa New Zealand's Matariki, which for many Māori heralds the start of a new year, we joined our partners in the TUKU Maori Winemaker's Collective at an event like no other.
In its third year, the
Tohunga Tūmau event brings together the best Māori chefs, wineries and food producers, this year in Ōtautahi Christchurch's Te Pae Convention Centre - and it truly was the most amazing night of food, wine, entertainment and celebration.
We were delighted to have two of our wines chosen - our
Tiki Koro Hawke's Bay Chardonnay matched to Peter Gordon's delicious pork belly dish; and our
Tiki Single Vineyard Riesling matched to Nancye Pirini's amazing desert.
