In July 2021, at a gathering of the McKean clan, we celebrated significant milestones with the launch of two new wines in tribute to our parents (and grandparents), Bill and Sally McKean.
Our Tiki Hariata Méthode Traditionnelle was launched in tribute to Mum, under her given name. A pillar of strength, a well of love and an inspiration throughout our lives, as kids we couldn't have wished for a better mum. She has also been integral to us in developing Tiki Wines into what it is today, her knowledge, wisdom and advice always welcomed.
In tribute to our Dad, William John McKean, our Tiki WJM Pinot Noir really is a beautiful wine. Instilled in us from childhood by our Dad, how to be honourable and respectful, to have the strength to question what we don’t believe in, and to stand our ground for what we do.
It really was a special time to come together. Those family members over in Australia and unable to join us were 'zoomed in' electronically for the celebration.
