Nose and palate: a classic expression of the variety showing lychee, rose petal, musk and spice. Succulent, rich, textural and creamy, well balanced and finishing long.

Vintage conditions
The La Niña weather pattern dominated the 2023 growing season, bringing fewer hot north-westerly winds, normally a mainstay of our season, and replacing them with regular cooling easterlies. Spring started cool, with below average temperatures. As the season progressed temperatures picked up and we had good flowering conditions, resulting in a healthy, balanced crop. Summer brought 30 degree days mixed with considerably colder spells, and autumn continued the pattern, fluctuating between warm sunny days and cold southerlies. Challenging as that was, it meant the team started picking later, allowing sugar levels to rise. Minimal rain over that period let the fruit hold on the vine and reach our desired level of ripeness.
