"White peach, jasmine and kiwifruit with a lick of quince. Supple mouth-feel with juicy and persistent fruit intensity."
DWWA 2024
"Restrained kiwi fruit nose; uplifting and clean palate, vibrant sipper."
International Wine Challenge 2024
"NZ pinot gris are very often nicely ripe, clean and aromatic - falling stylistically between Italian grigio and Alsatian gris. But there is a sense of NZ purity that works so well with the style. This offers big, soft aromas of peach, clover honey and wildflower, with a touch of sourdough. It is medium-bodied, smooth yet fresh with a hint of sweetness, yet lively acidity and some tail-end bitterness. The length is very good to excellent."
David Lawrason (Wine Align - Toronto)
"This is a pretty pinot gris, with a charming, unaffected nature. It features aromas of white flowers including honeysuckle, wet stones, and fresh orchard and stone fruit. I especially like the impression of perfectly ripe, sweet stone fruit on the palate and the cheerful, faintly pithy finish of decent length. Simply easy to enjoy, this wine is ready to drink."
Megha Jandhyala, S.J.D (Wine Align - Toronto)
"Subtle on the nose but more terpenic/citrus/orchard fruit-flavoured on the palate, there's more than a little nod here to the classic Alsatian style of pinot gris here from the clays and limestones of North Canterbury. A vague impression of sweetness completes the picture of the creamy, fluid palate, as does the lingering, gently bitter (pleasantly so) finish. Clean, precise, well made and characterful for the money"
John Szabo, MS (Wine Align - Toronto)

Review: New Zealand Wine Rater
"A restrained, subtle bouquet with aromas of Poire Williams, green apples and pears, white flowers and distinctive herbal notes of basil and coriander. A light, clean, fresh, pinot grigio style with green melon fruit flavours and a touch of brown spice on the finish."
Review: Alan - Business owner of Vino Fandango (Scotland)
"This is pure class. Beautiful ripe tropical fruit flavours balanced by lovely fresh acidity. Add in layers of complexity, delicious textural mouthfeel, exceptional balance and a long long finish gives a perfect glass of white. Single vineyard Pinot Gris from North Canterbury shows that it’s not all about Marlborough Sauv Blanc around these beautiful islands. Really proud to be representing these pure, sustainable wines in this country."
NOSE AND PALATE: A delightfully ripe and fragrant wine showing stonefruit, pear and floral aromas. Finishing long and comforting, this wine combines complex fruit flavours with a balance of acidity.
